2. General Scope & Applicability

These Terms govern the browsing, purchase, shipping, and safe use of decorative temporary tattoo products and related accessories available on our website. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or have the express consent of a legal parent/guardian) and accept these Terms without reservation.

3. Decorative Cosmetic Products

All products sold by Ink Icon are temporary, topical skin transfer sheets intended solely for external decorative cosmetic use. They are not medical devices or healthcare treatments.

While we make every effort to display the realistic appearance, scale, and finish of our temporary tattoos accurately across our digital media, product imagery, mockups, and video assets are for illustrative reference only. Final visual tone and longevity naturally vary depending on individual skin pigmentation, skin texture, moisture levels, and application technique.

4. Ordering & Contract Formation

  • Order Submission: By clicking "Pay Now," "Complete Order," or accepting post-purchase add-ons, you make an offer to purchase the selected items at the stated price.
  • Accuracy: You are solely responsible for ensuring your contact details, billing information, and delivery address are complete and accurate before submission.
  • Order Acceptance: A binding contract is formed only once your order has been verified, payment authorized, and your parcel dispatched with our shipping carrier. Ink Icon reserves the right to decline, hold, or cancel any order in instances of suspected fraudulent transactions, pricing system errors, or abuse of discount promotions.

5. Pricing, Currencies & Payment

  • Currencies: All standard prices are stated and processed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP - £) inclusive of all applicable UK taxes, unless an international multi-currency selector is active at checkout.
  • Shipping Fees: Delivery costs are clearly itemized before final payment confirmation on the checkout screen.
  • Secure Processing: Transactions are encrypted and processed through certified third-party payment gateways (including Shopify Payments, Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal). Ink Icon never captures, processes, or stores your unencrypted debit or credit card credentials on our local servers.

6. Shipping & Order Fulfilment

  • Orders are dispatched via recognized postal networks (including Royal Mail) in accordance with our standalone Shipping Policy.
  • Delivery times are reasonable working estimates and do not constitute absolute guarantees. Ink Icon is not liable for carriage delays caused by postal strikes, severe weather, peak courier capacity, or customs inspections.
  • Tracking details are sent automatically to your registered email once picked and scanned by the carrier.

7. Statutory Cancellation & Hygiene Returns

  • Hygiene Exclusion: Under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, temporary tattoo transfer sheets are classified as personal cosmetic items. Any sheet that has had its protective film peeled, cut, submerged in water, or placed against the skin cannot be accepted for return or refund.
  • Unopened Items: You may return unopened, unused items in their original protective packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return carriage is the responsibility of the customer unless an item is proven defective.

8. Skin Safety, Mandatory Patch Testing & Limitation of Liability

Please read this section carefully before applying any product.

Our temporary tattoos are designed for external topical use using cosmetic-grade, skin-safe inks and adhesives. However, individual skin chemistry, allergies, and dermatological sensitivities vary.

  • Mandatory Patch Test Requirement: Prior to applying any large design, sleeve, or multiple sheets, you must perform a patch test. Cut a small 1-inch piece from the corner of a tattoo sheet and apply it to a discreet, healthy area of skin (such as the inner wrist or forearm). Leave it for 24 hours to monitor for any redness, itching, burning, inflammation, or allergic irritation.
  • Skin Sensitization: Dermatological sensitivity can build up progressively with repeated applications. An individual who shows no immediate reaction during an initial test may experience irritation after frequent, continuous exposure. We recommend applying tattoos one at a time and allowing skin intervals between applications.
  • Contraindications: Do not apply temporary tattoos to broken, infected, sunburnt, eczema-prone, or excessively sensitive skin. Do not apply directly around the eyes, lips, or mucous membranes.
  • Assumption of Risk: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable UK law, Lux Research Ltd (Trading as Ink Icon) shall not be liable for any skin reactions, allergic responses, irritation, contact dermatitis, or adverse conditions resulting from product misuse, application on unsuitable skin, or failure to conduct a mandatory 24-hour patch test. If you suffer from known contact allergies, consult a medical professional prior to purchase.

9. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on this website—including website copy, product naming, graphic assets, brand logos, custom illustrations, packaging design, and visual mockups—is the exclusive property of Lux Research Ltd or its content licensors. Unauthorized scraping, duplication, commercial reproduction, or redistribution of our materials without express written authorization is strictly prohibited.

10. Customer Reviews & User Submissions

By submitting customer feedback, before-and-after photographs, or video reviews to our site, social media handles, or support inbox, you grant Ink Icon a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and publish that material across our digital storefront and social marketing channels.

11. Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any non-contractual disputes arising from your purchase shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
